Hey there everyone, we've got about three full days of the campaign left, so here's a multipart update for you.
Stretch Goal #1 Reached!
Good news, we've hit our first stretch goal of the campaign! That means that as promised, we're going to upgrade all physical copies of Ring Rivals to include tarot-sized wrestlers cards instead of the regular sized ones.
It may seem like a small upgrade, but one of the most important parts of the game is understanding what wrestler you're going up against when you want to win, so this makes things a bit easier by avoiding having to pass your cards around all the time - particularly in matches where there are more than 2 players.
Playmat Add-On Preview
At the end of campaign, all of you will be invited to confirm your pledge details and shipping information in Backerkit, the pledge manager that we'll be using. More detail on exactly what you'll need to do at that point will be explained in another update.
One such option we're going to offer is a rubber neoprene playmat with a custom design. We've just received a copy of one for ourselves, so take a look.
And here's another image with some cards (tarot-sized wrestlers and regular sized move cards) on it for a size reference.
The playmat will provide a surface for you to easily move and flip your cards around on, without sticking to or getting caught on anything. It can make a good alternative to your standard dinner table or carpet, particularly if you've gone somewhere where you can't guarantee there'll be somewhere good to play.
On top of that, they're easy to transport and store. The mats are super thin, and can be rolled up without worry of creasing or tearing. You don't only have to use the mat for playing Ring Rivals, so you could always take it with you wherever you might need it.
Let us know what you think in the comments below.
And that's all for now.
Thank you for supporting Ring Rivals!
